Your score and certificate
Your score is made of six parts. A Strong or Established score earns a certificate in your own name.
Last updated
The six parts
- Identity & residence
- Your NIN and BVN match your name, your ID is genuine, your selfie matches it, and your home address is confirmed.
- Income
- How long you have been in your work, how steadily pay arrives, and whether the pay you state matches what the bank shows.
- Credit record
- What the credit bureau holds on you: your score and any missed repayments, and how recent they are.
- Money habits
- Months without a bounced payment, a balance below zero or heavy betting, and the savings you keep against your spending.
- Debt load
- What already goes to lenders each month, against your pay.
- Ties to Nigeria
- Only for someone living abroad. For someone living in Nigeria it is left out, and the other parts carry its share.
A check you have not done counts as nothing in its part, so finishing every step gives you the fullest score. Your points in each part are on the Score & Analysis page.

Only Strong and Established earn a certificate. Below that, the Roadmap tab on Score & Analysis shows what would lift your score.
Your certificate
Your certificate is in your own name. Open it from My Certificate, download it, or share its link. Anyone with the link sees your name, your band, your score and how confident the score is, and the state you live in. It shows the date it is valid until, and after that you re-verify to renew it.
