How Acreed works for your business

Get verified once, earn a certificate any funder can check, and apply to the funders who invite you. This is the whole journey in one page.

Verify once, show it everywhere

Funders need to know a business is real and can repay before they lend. Acreed checks that for them. You prove who you are, that your company is registered, your credit history, your tax record and your bank activity. Acreed turns that evidence into an Acreed Credibility Score out of 100.

  • Strong80–100Earns a certificate
  • Established70–79Earns a certificate
  • Developing50–69
  • Emerging35–49
  • Early Stage0–34
The Acreed Credibility Score runs from 0 to 100. The same five bands apply to every business and every funder.

A score in the Strong or Established band earns an Acreed certificate. Any funder can check it in seconds by scanning its QR code, so you do not have to prove the same things again for every lender.

The journey

  1. Create your account and choose SME.
  2. Get verified. Each check runs as you go, and your score is worked out at the end.
  3. If your score earns one, you get your certificate. If it does not yet, the Score page shows what would lift it.
  4. Choose to be listed so funders can find you, and apply when a funder invites you.
  5. If a funder approves you, accept their offer. Once they record paying out the loan, agree to monitoring and record your repayments.

Acreed is not a lender

Acreed does not lend, and money never moves through Acreed. The funder pays the loan into your account and you repay them directly, as agreed with them. Acreed checks the evidence before the loan and keeps the record after it.
