Connect your bank

Link your business account read-only so your statement can be read, and see how long it stays connected.

Link your account

  1. On the Connect your bank step, press Connect business account.
  2. Choose your bank and sign in through Mono, our bank connection partner.
  3. Wait while your statement is read. When it is ready, you see how many months were analysed.

The connection is read-only, so nobody can move money through it. We read up to a year of history. An account younger than a year is read for the months it has.

Some banks take a while to prepare a statement. The step says so while it waits. Press Refresh statement to check again — every press asks your bank, so the button waits a few minutes between tries. Once your statement is read it is locked in: it is read again when you renew your certificate, not before.

More than one account

If your business trades through more than one account, press Add another account. Their statements are read together. Link business accounts, not personal ones.

What funders see

Before a loan, funders see figures worked out from your statements, such as your money in and out each month, never your individual transactions. After a loan is funded, monitoring shares more with that funder, and only if you agree. See loan monitoring.

How long it stays connected

Your bank stays connected only while something needs it: a valid certificate, an open application or a loan being monitored, plus a short grace period after the last of those ends. Then Acreed disconnects it and tells you. Your score and certificate stay as they are.

Under Settings, then Banking, each connected bank shows how long it stays connected. The owner can press Disconnect there to end it sooner.
