What each person can do

Everyone on your team sees the same business: its score, certificate, applications and documents. Their role on Acreed decides what they can change.

Owner
The person who registered the business. Everything: its details, Get Verified, applications, offers, consents, documents and the team.
Admin
Everything the owner can do, except changing or removing an owner.
Viewer
Sees everything and changes none of the business’s details. They can change their own name, and verify themselves if they are one of its directors.

Separately, each person can be labelled with their role in the business — director, shareholder, manager, finance or accounts, staff or other. The label never changes what they can do.

A director on the team verifies themselves

If a person on your team is also one of the directors on The board, put their sign-in email on their director entry. They then see Verify yourself beside their name on the Team page and do their own identity check from there — a viewer too. The main applicant verifies in Get Verified instead.

Add people

  1. Open Team and go to Add people. The owner or an admin can do this.
  2. Choose One person and enter their email, what they can do on Acreed and, if you like, their role in the business — or Many at once to upload a list. A new person starts as a viewer unless you choose otherwise.
  3. Press Send invitation.

Each invitation link works for seven days. Under Invitations waiting you can Resend or Cancel one. The board lists the directors on your company record and shows whether each has verified. Only the owner or an admin can change the business’s details, its notification and privacy settings, or list it in the funder directory. Only an owner can make someone an owner, or change or remove one.

Still need help?

Ask a person.

Send us a message and someone from the team replies by email, usually within one business day. If you are signed in, the assistant in the app can also answer questions about your own account.
