Your co-directors

Every director verifies their own identity and checks their own credit, from a link we email them. No account is needed.

Why each director verifies

Funders want to know who runs the business. So every director proves their own identity and checks their own credit, the same way you did. Until each one has, your score is paused and you see Your score is paused.

Invite them

  1. On the Your directors step, the first row is you.
  2. For each co-director, enter their Full name, Position and email, then press Send invite.
  3. Their row shows invite sent, then verified when they are done.

If the email does not reach them, copy the link under Can’t reach them by email? Share this link: and send it another way. Directors found on your CAC record are marked From CAC.

What the director does

  1. Opens the link. No sign-up is needed.
  2. Enters their BVN or NIN, ticks the consent box and presses Verify my number.
  3. Adds a photo of their ID and presses Continue to selfie.
  4. Takes a selfie. They can use their phone, or ask a person to check, just like you.
  5. Enters their BVN, ticks the credit consent box and presses Run my credit check.

They see You’re verified at the end. Their numbers are used for the checks and not kept; only a masked version is. You see their credit score and any missed repayments on Team and on Score & Analysis — their consent says so. If the credit bureau has no file for them (common if they have never borrowed), their credit counts at a low baseline: below a clean file, not as bad credit.

A director who verified before the credit step existed shows Identity confirmed — still needs their credit check on Team. Press Send credit link: their link opens straight at the credit step, with no new selfie.

Someone is no longer a director

Remove them from the Waiting on your co-directors panel on your dashboard. If the company registry has changed, the directors step tells you so.
