Record a payment
Money never moves through Acreed. Pay your funder directly, then record the payment:
- Open Repayments.
- On the instalment you paid, press I’ve made this payment.
- Enter When did you pay? and, if you have one, the transfer reference under Reference (optional).
- Press I’ve made this payment to save it. The row shows Pending confirmation while your funder checks it.
Your funder confirms it
Your record is a note to your funder. It changes nothing on its own. The payment counts towards your repayment record once your funder confirms it, or once your bank feed shows it leaving your account. Either way it counts as on time only if it was paid by the due date. If your funder cannot match it, you are told and can record it again.
Missed payments
An instalment still unpaid more than three days after its due date is marked missed, and both you and your funder are alerted. If your bank feed already shows the payment, it is not marked missed.
Paying off early
If you want to pay the loan off before its term, your funder’s rule decides what you owe: the principal still owed only; the principal plus the interest run up to the day you pay; or every remaining installment in full. Some funders add a settlement fee. The rule is shown on this page from the day your loan starts, with the figure that would clear the loan today and how long that figure is good for.
- Agree the payment with your funder and pay them directly, as always.
- Your funder records the settlement. Every remaining installment then shows as Settled early, monitoring ends, and we stop reading your bank account for this loan.
- Settling early counts as repaid in full on your Acreed record.
