Alerts and the watchlist

Alerts tell you when a loan needs your eyes. The watchlist keeps the loans you want to follow closely in one place.

What raises an alert

  • A covenant moves between Met, Watch and Breach, or a month falls below a covenant floor.
  • A loan’s health colour changes.
  • Unusual activity in the business’s cash flow.
  • A payment is missed.
  • No bank data has arrived for a long time.
  • The business links another bank account.
  • The business says it has made a payment.
  • The business gives, renews or takes back its consent to monitoring.

Each alert is Critical, Warning or Info.

Working through them

Monitoring Alerts groups alerts by loan. Filter by Open, New, Acknowledged or Dismissed. Acknowledge says you have seen one, and Dismiss clears one that needs nothing. Open facility takes you to the loan.

A portfolio manager sees alerts for their own loans, on the alerts page and in the bell. Administrators and viewers see all of them. Alert emails go to the loan’s portfolio manager and to your administrators and viewers, following Email monitoring alerts and Minimum severity under Settings, then Notifications. Each person gets one email per alert.

The watchlist

Press the star on a loan’s card, or Flag for review on its page, to add the business to the watchlist; the flag covers every loan you have with it. The Flagged filter shows them all. The watchlist is shared by your whole organisation. Managers can flag loans in their own book and administrators any loan; viewers cannot. Every alert that is normally emailed is then emailed whatever its severity, even with alert emails switched off. Bell-only alerts, such as a covenant moving to Watch, stay in the bell.
