Review an application
Every application arrives scored, with its band, its fit for your programme and every check’s result. This is how to read it.

The applications queue
Applications lists everything sent to you. Filter by New, In Review, Approved, Funded or Declined, search by business, and sort by Longest waiting, Most recent, Highest band or Best fit. Applications that have waited a long time are marked so they do not slip. Administrators and viewers also see an Owner column, and administrators can hand applications to a colleague with Assign to….
Score, band, confidence and fit
- Score and band
- The Acreed Credibility Score out of 100 and its band. These are the same for every funder.
- Confidence
- How complete and how sure the evidence is. It falls when a check is missing or came back less certain.
- Fit
- How well the business suits your programme under your criteria weighting, out of 100.
A notice at the top tells you if the business’s certificate has expired, been revoked or was never issued.
What else is on the page
- Acreed assessment
- The six parts of the score as a chart. Fit assessment (what-if) lets you try a different weighting, then save it to this application or as a new draft of your criteria.
- Financial snapshot
- Annual revenue, net margin, credit score, loan affordability, and how many months of bank history were checked.
- Monthly bank totals
- Money in and money out for each month of the verified statements, as a chart or a table.
- Submitted evidence
- The business’s documents. A file that failed the automatic document check is held back.
- Application details
- The directors (with identity numbers masked), any collateral declared with its evidence, and the answers to your questions.
- Verification checks
- The result of each check, for example identity (NIN and BVN), company registration (CAC), credit bureau, tax (FIRS), tax clearance, bank statements, ID document, live selfie and face match.
Before funding, you see figures drawn from the business’s bank statements, including the monthly totals, never its individual transactions. A bank account not in the business’s name is labelled as such. The business’s address says verified by Acreed’s team once our document reader has matched its proof of address to the address typed and a person at Acreed has confirmed the business is there. Until then it says it is being confirmed, or that it was given but not checked.
