Find businesses and invite them to apply

The Directory lists verified businesses that chose to be found and match what you fund. Invite the ones that fit, or bring in a business that is not on Acreed yet.

Who appears in the Directory

A business appears only if it switched on Let funders find my business and it matches the sectors and minimum score in your What you fund settings. Each card shows the business’s band and score, its sector and state, and how far it is above your minimum. A badge shows your history with it, for example Invited — not applied yet or You fund this business.

Filter by Not approached, In your book, band or sector, or search by name. View certificate → opens the business’s certificate.

Invite a business to apply

  1. Press Invite to apply on the business’s card.
  2. Choose one of your active criteria forms.
  3. Add a message if you like, then press Send invitation.

The business gets a notification and an email. When they apply, the application arrives in your Applications queue already scored. The person who sent the invitation owns the application, so it sits in their book.

Invite a business that is not on Acreed

  1. Press Invite a business in the Directory.
  2. Add their email if you have it, then press Generate link.
  3. Press Copy and send them the link however you like.

The link works once and expires after a while. Until it is used, you can Revoke it. When they sign up through it, they get verified like any other business.
