How the bank feed is read
AcreedPulse reads the business’s bank account, read-only and with consent. This is what it reads, how often, and how it decides what counts as income.

Consent and accounts
The business chooses which of its bank accounts to share, and the connection is read-only: nobody can move money through it. If it shares more than one, choose the Monitoring scope on the loan’s Cash flow tab: one account at the single-account price, or all of them at one flat price. Each option shows its live price there.
How often it is read
Each loan has its own setting under How often we check the bank: choose from the options shown. Check now reads it straight away, a limited number of times a day. Every read uses credits, even when the bank has nothing new, and the card warns you if your credits will not last until the loan ends.
What counts as income
Every incoming payment is checked before it counts as income. These are left out, each with a one-line reason that both you and the business can see:
- Refunds and reversals.
- Money from the business’s owners or directors.
- Transfers between the business’s own accounts. These are matched on both sides, so they never count twice.
- Loans from anyone else.
Payments from repeat customers, and payments that look like sales, count as income. The health measure is the trading surplus: money in from trading against money out to run the business, not the closing balance.
When the business is asked
Only when the rules cannot tell, for a large one-off payment from someone who has never paid into the account before, is the business asked what it was: A sale, My own money, A loan, A refund or Something else. Until they answer, it is left out of income and the line says so.
