Repayments and missed payments

Every monitored loan has a repayment schedule. Confirm what the business says it paid, record payments yourself, and see when one is missed.

The schedule

The Repayments tab lists each instalment with its due date, amount, principal and interest, and a status: Paid, Next due, Upcoming, Pending confirmation, Overdue or Overdue — reported paid. When the bank feed shows the payment arriving, the row says so.

When the business says it paid

A business can report an instalment as paid, with a date and a transfer reference. You see Borrower reports paid on …. A report changes nothing on its own. An instalment counts as paid in the business’s repayment record once you confirm it, or once the bank feed shows the payment leaving their account, and as on time only if it was paid by the due date.

  • Confirm — mark paid records the payment on the date they gave.
  • Dismiss tells the business you could not match the payment, so they can check it.

Record a payment yourself

  1. On the loan’s page, leave Amount received empty to record exactly one instalment, or enter what you received: it pays off whole instalments, oldest first, and anything left over goes on the last instalment it pays off.
  2. Press Record payment.

An amount smaller than the next instalment is refused. Recording the final payment closes the loan and ends monitoring, and this cannot be undone. You can also end monitoring early with Close monitoring, optionally giving a reason the business will see.

Missed payments

An instalment still unpaid three days after its due date is marked missed. That raises an alert: a warning the first time, critical if it happens again. An instalment the bank feed already shows as paid is not flagged. For a loan you imported, instalments due before it joined AcreedPulse are never flagged.
